James Newton’s moving short The Space You Leave is playing this weekend at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in the New Docs strand.
Described as “A meditation on loss and the pain of simply not knowing”, the festival notes that “the film provides a glimpse of how these parents cope with the unimaginable: each survives on hope and optimism in different doses, struggling to define a new normal. Filmmaker James Newton allows the weight of each thought to settle, offering viewers time for reflection and empathy.”
Thanks to the festival for letting us get this important film out to a broader audience and congratulations to the filmmakers.
