Homeless Me, a short documentary directed by James Newton and produced by Anna Higgs, has won Virgin Atlantic’s Film Festival in the Sky.
Since February, Virgin Atlantic has been showing nine short films, which have been made by graduates of the National Film and Television School on its Vport inflight entertainment system. Passengers have been watching the films and voting on their favourite.
The top three films as voted for by passengers were then selected and assessed by a panel of highly respected industry figures including David Morrissey, Sir Alan Parker, Stephen Woolley and David Yates. James will receive two return flights on Virgin Atlantic. Second prize goes to the film Ela which was directed by Quark collaborator Silvana Aguirre and produced by Quark’s own Gavin Humphries.
